ANNE BOUDREAU

From seed pods to constellations, Boudreau is amazed by natural systems. Their simple and complex physical structures and cooperative functions provide her with endless inspiration. She makes rigid and soft constructions typically using a combination of wire, twine, fabric, and acrylic paint. Much like the balance of forces found in nature, her handmade forms are fragile yet stable. When possible, Boudreau prefers to install her own work. She considers her response to the physical space and the placement of her work as an integral part of her creative process.

Anne Boudreau is a native of New Orleans. She currently resides in Lafayette, Louisiana where she makes art and teaches for the Lafayette Parish School System’s Talented Program
