Baton Rouge Gallery is located inside BREC’s gorgeous City Park, close to LSU’s campus, the city’s eclectic Mid-City area, and downtown Baton Rouge. The gallery features roughly 2,800 square feet of interior exhibition space in addition to a 1,200 square foot terrace that overlooks a stunning green space, providing a special and spacious venue for your event.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
+ What is the rental fee for a private event?
The base rental fee for our facility will be $1,850. The green space behind the gallery is available for use during your event for an additional fee.
A number of additional options are available to add even more to your event, including special lighting, audio/visual amenities, and extra time for an additional fee.
Your rental fee includes an on-site security guard to ensure the protection and safety of all guests.
An additional $750 damage deposit is required. Assuming no damage is sustained by the facility, any exhibited artwork, or any other property of the gallery or BREC contained therein, this fee will be refunded in full to the renter.
+ How many people can attend my private rental?
The interior space at BRG is rated by the Louisiana Fire Marshal for a maximum occupancy of 299. This does not take into account the terrace space that overlooks the park, nor does it account for space occupied by tables/chairs during your event. + Are any tables and chairs included?
Your rental fee includes the use of about 60 chairs and more than a dozen tables.
Any furniture displayed in the gallery, like our sofa and lounge chairs, may be put in storage for your event so as to maximize floor space.
+ Who is responsible for the gallery during a private rental?
The renter is responsible for all set up and take down of tables and chairs and cleaning of facility. A staff member is present at all times to ensure a hassle-free experience and the safety of the facility.
+ Are catering and alcohol allowed to be served at a private rental?
We are able to work with the caterer of your choice so long as they can include the gallery as "additionally insured" in advance of the rental.
If family and friends are providing catering then the gallery requires that the client take out a special event insurance policy for the duration of the event.
Alcohol is allowed in the facility but can only be served by licensed alcohol server and server/company must have $1,000,000 liquor liability insurance.
+ What about live music?
DJ or live music is acceptable. Any amplified music being played on the terrace must end at 10pm or relocate to the interior of the facility.
