“This body of work explores the Buddhist concept of impermanence through a dynamic interplay of materials. The collection includes mixed-media paintings, sculpted and blown glass, and metal sculptures that merge wrought iron with blown glass forms.

At its core, this work reflects on the transient nature of existence. All things— material and immaterial—are in a constant state of change, a realization that has been both liberating and transformative in my life. Embracing this truth allows me to release attachment and lean into uncertainty, an approach that is echoed in my creative process. Each piece in this exhibit acts as a dialogue between material and meaning, confronting themes of transformation, instability, and the tension between permanence and change.

I am a restless creator, drawn to work that pushes both technical and conceptual boundaries. My process is one of continuous exploration, challenging myself to navigate the delicate balance between control and surrender. Through these works, I mine the depths of my understanding, seeking not only to express impermanence but to embody it.” - Dufour
