For more than 10 years, Baton Rouge Gallery has been proud to host the annual "Women Writers on..." reading as part of the annual Women's Week celebration, presented by The Women's Council of Greater Baton Rouge. On October 14, the tradition continues.
As with all Sundays@4 events, this special presentation is open to the public and free to attend.
The 2018 incarnation of this annual event will focus on "the dirty truth." As event organizers put it, "We live in a world full of dirty laundry, dirty secrets, and dirty old men. Six local women writers explore the gritty details of digging deep, making peace with our foes, and the reinvention of self."
Panelists slated to present include: Claire Bateman, Renee Bacher, Laurie Drummond, Malaika Favorite, Ava Leavell Haymon, and Herpreet Singh. This diverse slate of women includes writers of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and more.
