Movies & Music on the Lawn, presented by Cox, wraps up its 2022 season with a special celebration of the 100th anniversary of the original vampire film! The series that pairs silent films with not-so-silent Louisiana bands, welcomes Baton Rouge-based rock band Woorms for a live performance alongside the iconic 100 year old vampire, Nosferatu (which was first released on March 4, 1922)!
Nosferatu was also the first film ever shown at Movies & Music on the Lawn, back in 1998!

About Woorms: This band describes themselves as a “three-piece extra crispy Sludge/noise rock band” that has called Baton Rouge home since their beginnings in 2017. Currently signed to Supernova Records, they are preparing for the release of their third LP, Fatalismo, in May. The band recently opened for Soulfly at Chelsea’s Live, here in Baton Rouge. The band’s anthems thunder with elements of dirge, grit, groove, and bellowing amplification foundationally attributed to masters of the realms of noise rock, sludge, and psychedelic metal scenes, making them a perfect fit to take on one of the most iconic horror films ever.
About Nosferatu: In this highly influential silent horror film, the mysterious Count Orlok summons Thomas Hutter to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen. After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle, knowing that Ellen is in grave danger. Meanwhile Orlok's servant, Knock, prepares for his master to arrive at his new home.
