Movies and Music on the Lawn: Kids Night! *FREE*
The final installment in Movies & Music on the Lawn’s 2023-24 series is coming up on April 13 (8 pm) with a series of short films for kids accompanied by live music by kids from the students of Baton Rouge Music Studios.
Of course, this season of Movies & Music on the Lawn continues to be open to all FREE OF CHARGE, thanks to our sponsors: John G. Turner & Jerry G. Since 1998, Movies & Music on the Lawn has been an annual staple in Baton Rouge, bringing contemporary Louisiana-based musicians to compose and perform original scores for silent-era classic films while they’re projected on a towering inflatable screen under the stars.

A trio of family-friendly films are slated for this year’s Kids Night at Movies & Music on the Lawn:
Alike (2015): From Barcelona-based filmmakers, this short - winner of more than 75 awards internationally - follows a a father and his son as they learn together how to navigate modern society and value each other.
The Red Balloon (1956): This classic, Oscar-winning, short follows a small child around the streets of Paris as he works to reclaim his lost balloon.
Gertie the Dinosaur (1914): Once used as a vaudeville act, this classic short is the earliest animated film to feature a dinosaur!
