Artist Danielle Burns fuses traditional print media with digital media in creating prints that explore what she sees as a growing sense of complacency in 21st century society. She points out that a certain level of comfort accompanies complacency, or as she puts it, "a false sense of safety that makes us feel impervious to the dangers affecting ourselves and others." However, Burns is sensitive to not pass judgment, instead she aims to start a conversation on why apathy has become such a popular coping mechanism.
