kathryn hunter

Hunter grew up in Decatur, Alabama, surrounded by good north Alabama storytellers and embellishers. After one year of college, she went looking for adventure in the tall mountains of Montana and Wyoming, where she resided for almost ten years, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from Montana State University, Bozeman. She returned to the south in 2000 to attend graduate school at Louisiana State University and earned a Master of Fine Arts in printmaking in 2003. Besides making art, Hunter operates a custom design and letterpress printing business called Blackbird Letterpress in Baton Rouge.
